In July 2023, De Last Dance, affectionately known as Tango, was rescued from a Louisiana kill pen, a heartbreaking fate for a horse who once thrived on the racetrack, winning over $57,000 in 17 starts. After a brief career as a broodmare, she was discarded and left to face slaughter. When she arrived at Equine Paths, she was suffering from Strangles, requiring specialized care for her airway and a gentle approach to rebuild her trust in humans.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of trainer Jennifer Kelly, who has a remarkable track record of rehabilitating off-the-track thoroughbreds, Tango is on a path to recovery. In just one week, she has received a pedicure, vaccinations, veterinary care, and even had her first ride! With love and patience, we're excited to see how far this beautiful mare can dance.

Welcome to Equine Paths Learning!
We are thrilled to welcome Honest Rogue to Equine Paths A Learning Center! This handsome off-track thoroughbred comes to us after racing three times at Delaware Park. Sired by the distinguished Roguish and bred by a wonderful family farm in Ocala, Florida, Rogue’s journey as a racehorse has come to a close, but his potential in his second career is just beginning. Though he may not have had the speed for racing, what he does have is a heart of gold. Rogue has a gentle, sweet disposition and a love for human attention. He is incredibly mannerly and eager to connect with everyone he meets. We’re excited to see where his new path takes him and can’t wait to help him discover a bright future.
